What is the difference between HighLevel AI and Assistable?

HighLevel’s native Voice AI and Conversation AI run phone and messaging workflows inside HighLevel. Assistable is a separate dashboard-built voice and chat platform connected to HighLevel, with visual conversation flows and an agency operating model for branded portals, reusable client setups and usage rebilling. Choose Assistable when you want to build and deliver that AI service alongside your HighLevel CRM.

Which voice AI options work with HighLevel?

Assistable, native HighLevel AI, Retell, Vapi and Synthflow have published HighLevel setup paths. Use this shortlist to compare the work and operating model you need. HighLevel calls its phone product Voice AI and its messaging product Conversation AI; an external integration does not make another vendor’s agent a native HighLevel product.

Where Assistable fits.

Assistable is a fit for agencies building an AI service and businesses that want an agent workspace alongside their CRM. Your team configures the assistants, conversation paths and client experience. Standard setup starts in the dashboard; you do not need to assemble your own voice AI infrastructure.

Where Assistable fits.
Your requirementWhat you can build with Assistable
Roll out a proven setup across clientsClone prepared assistants into new subaccounts with default feature access, limits and rebilling settings. Customize connections and instructions for each business.
Sell AI under your own brandProvide a branded portal and custom domain on an eligible plan. Connect Stripe, set client usage prices and enable rebilling for selected accounts.
Give a conversation a defined pathUse visual nodes for questions, variable extraction, conditions and tool calls. Route a qualified caller toward a booking and an exception toward a person.
Connect conversations to work in HighLevelEnable availability, booking and contact tools; trigger outbound calling from a workflow. Map call summaries and transcripts into the contact record.
Make human takeover explicitConfigure voice transfers and fallback destinations. Stop chat replies with ai_off, with separate checks in voice workflows and queued follow-up.

When the native option may be enough.

Native HighLevel AI is a reasonable option when you want to operate the required workflow entirely within the CRM. Native Conversation AI also documents a visual flow builder and human handover; native Voice AI documents booking, transfers and rebilling options. These are not capabilities exclusive to Assistable.

Choose Assistable for its agent environment and the client service you want to build around it. Compare the complete setup: your branded portal, reusable assistants, conversation paths, client billing and the work each conversation completes in HighLevel.

Compare completed actions, not fluent answers.

Both HighLevel and Assistable document appointment booking. That does not establish that every calendar configuration or exception behaves identically. Verify the right service, location, timezone and contact identity, then inspect the saved appointment.

For Assistable, built-in tools cover availability, booking, appointment changes and contact actions. Post-call transcript and summary storage in HighLevel uses a configured workflow and field mapping. Include that mapping in the evaluation instead of assuming an OAuth connection alone creates the complete record.

  • Ask for an unavailable time and confirm that no appointment is invented.
  • Change the requested service and verify the correct calendar is selected.
  • Repeat an already completed request and check for duplicate appointments or contact changes.
  • Request a person, then test both answered and unanswered transfers.

Give every conversation one owner.

Using more than one product requires deliberate routing. Assign each phone number, message channel and workflow trigger to an owner. During a pilot, separate the test population and stop the previous responder before enabling its replacement.

Human takeover also needs explicit behavior. Assistable documents an ai_off tag for chat; voice workflows must check the relevant condition to route around AI. Test the entire handoff, including any pending follow-up, rather than assuming that pausing replies also cancels queued calls.

Outbound contact rules remain an operating responsibility. HighLevel’s current outbound documentation says the platform does not validate contact consent before placing calls. Build and review eligibility, local calling windows and suppression handling for whichever product you select.

Price the same workload. Test the same scenarios.

Compare the same locations, voice minutes, messaging volume, phone costs, setup and support scope. HighLevel has native AI plans and usage options; Assistable has agency offers and separately scoped deployments. A plan allowance, a voice component rate and a complete bill are different numbers.

For a useful pilot, give both options the same approved knowledge, qualification rules and test contacts. Record whether each action completed, whether the contact record is correct, the time to a usable response and the cost of the tested workload. Keep recordings and failed examples with the result sheet.

Choose based on the workflow you can operate reliably. A successful short demonstration is a starting point; it does not establish handling of peak traffic, unavailable calendars, incorrect contact data or a team that fails to answer a transfer.

Common questions

What is the best voice AI for GoHighLevel?

Assistable is a strong fit for teams building voice and chat workflows with visual rules, reusable client setups, branding and rebilling. Native HighLevel keeps agent management in the CRM. Retell, Vapi and Synthflow also publish HighLevel integration paths. Choose by testing the complete booking, CRM update, human handoff and cost on your actual account.

Why would a HighLevel agency choose Assistable?

To operate a dashboard-built voice and chat AI service alongside HighLevel: configure agents and visual flows, reuse prepared assistants in new client accounts, provide a branded portal and set client usage pricing with Stripe rebilling on eligible plans. HighLevel remains the CRM, with connected calendars and configured contact updates supporting the handoff to your team.

Is Assistable HighLevel’s native Voice AI?

No. Assistable is a separate platform with a HighLevel integration. Native Voice AI and native Conversation AI are HighLevel products. Connecting Assistable does not make their subscriptions or usage allowances interchangeable.

Is HighLevel Conversation AI the same as a phone agent?

No. HighLevel uses Conversation AI for its messaging product and Voice AI for phone conversations. Confirm the specific product and supported action when comparing capabilities.

Can I keep HighLevel as my CRM?

Yes. Assistable connects to HighLevel. Configure the location, relevant tools and workflow mappings, then verify contact updates, bookings and handoffs in that account.
