What happened to Synthflow reselling and Stripe rebilling?
Synthflow removed in-product Stripe reselling on September 15, 2026. Its official documentation says custom pricing plans, customer billing through Synthflow, plan-based minute top-ups and subaccount billing pages were removed. Your main Synthflow subscription and minute pool are unchanged. Agencies can keep using Synthflow with external billing, or evaluate a platform such as Assistable for native client usage rebilling on eligible plans.
Key points
- Removal confirmed by Synthflow
- Core agency features remain
- Two practical billing paths
What stopped on September 15, 2026.
The affected agencies are those that connected their own Stripe account and charged customers through Synthflow's custom pricing plans. Synthflow says those customer subscriptions stopped working. Agencies already handling customer billing elsewhere are not affected in the same way.
| Removed feature | What your agency needs to address |
|---|---|
| In-product Stripe connection | Review your Stripe customers and replace the billing process that depended on Synthflow. |
| Custom pricing plans | Re-establish monthly charges, usage rules, trials and account limits in the systems you choose. |
| Automatic customer billing | Confirm which clients have paid and how future charges will be collected. |
| Plan-based minute top-ups | Review client allocations and Auto-overage settings so usage has an intentional policy. |
| Subaccount Plan & Billing and Usage pages | Decide where clients will see charges, balances and usage. |
| Platform margin calculation | Reconcile client revenue against your actual service costs. |
Your agent platform did not disappear.
Synthflow continues to document voice and chat agents, subaccounts, white-label branding, custom domains, permissions, reusable products and HighLevel integration. Minute and concurrency allocations remain configurable. This is a change to customer monetization, not a platform shutdown.
- Your own Synthflow subscription, invoices and parent minute pool are unchanged by the removal.
- Subaccount usage can still be read through the API, post-call webhooks or call history.
- Auto-overage can keep calls running beyond an allocation, but your agency pays for that usage and must charge the client separately.
- Existing account terms may differ from the new public enterprise pricing. Check your agreement and invoices.
Start with revenue continuity.
Before comparing agent voices or rebuilding flows, identify where the billing chain broke. A client can still be consuming minutes even when the old customer billing process has stopped.
Find the affected clients
Match your old pricing-plan customers to their Stripe records and Synthflow subaccounts. Include trials, credits and usage-overage arrangements.
Reconcile the last paid period
Check invoices, payments and usage. Do not create a new charge until you know whether the customer has already paid for that period.
Set a deliberate usage policy
Review each subaccount's allocation, concurrency and Auto-overage. Choose what happens at the limit and who monitors it.
Choose the billing owner
Keep Synthflow and operate external billing, or validate a replacement's client billing alongside the agent workflow.
Two paths. Choose the one your agency can operate.
You do not have to move a working agent just to send an invoice. You may prefer to move when running a separate billing stack no longer fits the service you want to deliver.
| Path | Fits when | Work to own |
|---|---|---|
| Keep Synthflow and bill externally | Your agent deployments work well and you can maintain a separate commercial system. | Subscriptions, metering, renewals, invoices, customer usage reporting and reconciliation. |
| Evaluate Assistable's agency platform | You want branded client delivery with Stripe usage rebilling and CRM-connected agents. | Client prices, wallet setup, agent/tool mapping, billing transition and a tested cutover. |
Common questions
When did Synthflow remove rebilling?
Synthflow's official reselling and Stripe documentation identifies September 15, 2026 as the removal date.
Why is Stripe disconnected from Synthflow?
Synthflow removed the in-product Stripe integration used for reselling. Its documentation says existing reselling connections were disconnected and new connections can no longer be made. Agencies can still bill customers directly through their own Stripe account outside Synthflow.
What happened to Synthflow Pricing Plans?
The Partner Pricing Plans page was removed. Those plans no longer control customer billing, account limits or automatic plan behavior. Review limits directly and rebuild customer billing in the chosen billing system.
Is Synthflow shutting down?
The documentation reviewed here does not establish a shutdown. It describes removal of in-product customer reselling while retaining the main platform and agency workspace features.
Can I keep selling Synthflow services?
Synthflow continues to document agency workspaces and white labeling. Its in-product customer billing is gone, so commercial terms, customer invoicing and usage reconciliation must be managed outside that feature. Follow your account and customer agreements.
What is a replacement for Synthflow agency rebilling?
Assistable is one option for agencies that want branded client accounts and Stripe usage rebilling on eligible plans. Evaluate the precise billing model: Assistable documents prepaid usage wallets, not automatic import of Synthflow's former monthly pricing plans.
