Recorded in June 2026. This is a walkthrough of the V2 widget configuration, not a live visitor conversation or a completed handoff test. Available controls and supported connections depend on your account and current product version.

Try the questions your visitors actually ask.

Use the configured widget on desktop and mobile. Check both the answer and any action it attempts.

  • Ask a question covered by your knowledge and check the answer against its source.
  • Ask something outside that knowledge and check the fallback.
  • Request a person and confirm the handoff reaches the intended team.
  • Test any enabled booking or contact action in its destination system.
  • Check that the widget opens, closes and remains usable on a small screen.

Give the widget a clear job.

A sales widget and a support widget may use the same interface, but they need different instructions and actions. Decide what a visitor should accomplish, then select the assistant and the knowledge it should use. Keep the greeting and suggested questions focused on that job.

The recording shows the widget’s appearance, content, tool and behavior settings. Configure those for your business, then use the installation code supplied by your current account. The video is a guide to the workflow, not a script to copy into production unchanged.

  1. Select the assistant and relevant knowledge for the widget’s purpose.
  2. Set the greeting, suggested questions and brand appearance.
  3. Review which tools the assistant may use and when a person should take over.
  4. Install the generated widget on a test page before enabling it for visitors.

Make the next step clear.

Define where the conversation should go when the visitor asks for a person or needs an action the agent cannot complete. Test the destination, the information passed along and what the visitor sees while waiting. A handoff option in the builder does not prove the receiving team has been notified.

For GoHighLevel chat deployments, Assistable documents Active Tags to choose the responding assistant, an ai_off tag to stop replies and Sleep Mode to avoid overlapping human and AI messages. These are HighLevel chat controls; check your website widget’s own handoff behavior separately.
