See what each AI agent costs
Assistable’s assistant-level cost reporting gives eligible accounts a clearer view of the call and AI message charges attributable to selected assistants. Together with account activity reporting, it gives operations teams a more specific starting point for reviewing usage, investigating changes, and deciding where to focus.

Measured in your business systems
Understand where your conversational AI spend goes, then use that visibility to make better deployment decisions.
An account total tells you what you spent. When several AI agents serve different teams, customers, or workflows, the next question is more useful: which agent generated that spend, and what was it doing?
You can move from a broad account number to a conversation about a particular deployment. That might be your inbound receptionist, a follow-up agent, or an assistant dedicated to one service line. Each has a different job, and each deserves to be evaluated in that context.
Understand the spend behind a specific assistant
In accounts with assistant-level reporting enabled, the Cost view includes an assistant filter. Select the assistant or assistants you want to review to see the charges associated with that selection. The unfiltered view remains available for the wider account picture.
This makes questions about a deployment more concrete. If an outbound agent has become busier, you can inspect its attributable spend. If several assistants share an account, you can separate the selected assistants’ call and AI message charges from the account total.
The filter also makes its boundaries explicit. Account-wide items, including wallet funding, phone number rental, knowledge base charges, and observations, are excluded from assistant-filtered results. Those items belong in an account-level review; they are not assigned to an individual assistant by this filter.
That distinction matters when evaluating operating costs. An assistant’s attributable usage is one part of the account’s financial picture. Use the filtered and unfiltered views together to understand both.
Put cost in the context of activity
A higher spend figure needs an explanation. It might reflect more conversations, a different mix of work, or a change worth investigating. Cost alone cannot tell you which.
Assistable’s Activity reporting shows daily completed calls and recorded AI messages. It helps you see when account activity concentrates and where a change begins. The activity view and assistant-filtered Cost view answer different questions, so keep their scope in mind when comparing them.
For example, consider an illustrative service business using one assistant for inbound inquiries and another for follow-up. The team could review account activity across the week, then inspect each assistant’s attributable costs. If follow-up spend has changed, they have a specific workflow to examine instead of guessing from the account total.
The next step is to review the relevant conversations and the business’s own outcome records. A busy agent might be doing exactly the work you intended. It might also need a better qualification question, a clearer stopping point, or a different handoff. Reporting helps you decide where to look.
Review performance against the job you assigned
The right question for a receptionist may be whether eligible inquiries reach the team. For a follow-up agent, it may be whether qualified prospects book and attend appointments. An assistant supporting an existing customer might be evaluated on a different outcome entirely.
Use the cost view alongside those business records. Identify the assistant, choose the review period, and establish which outcomes you can reliably attribute to that workflow. Keep appointment creation, appointment attendance, and a completed sale separate. They describe different stages of the customer lifecycle.
Assistant-level cost reporting does not automatically attribute revenue or calculate return on investment. It provides a clearer view of attributable usage charges. Your CRM and other business systems supply the outcome evidence needed for a commercial assessment.
This creates a practical review process: understand the spend, inspect the work, and decide whether the deployment needs an adjustment. Repeat that process consistently so decisions reflect the same definitions over time.
Use a consistent review routine
Start with a question you can act on. “Why did this assistant’s spend change?” is more useful than looking at a dashboard without a decision in mind.
- Choose the scope. Decide whether you are reviewing the whole account or selected assistants. Use the unfiltered view when account-wide costs belong in the question.
- Inspect attributable costs. In an enabled account, use the assistant filter in Cost to focus the review. Keep the exclusions visible when discussing the result with your team.
- Check activity and conversations. Review the account activity pattern, then inspect the relevant assistant’s records to understand the work behind the spend.
- Compare verified outcomes. Use your business records to evaluate what the workflow achieved. Make configuration changes based on the conversation evidence, then review the next comparable period.
Allow for reporting freshness when evaluating recent activity. Activity counts reflect data available through the latest analytics synchronization, and charges may be recorded after the underlying call. Recent cost and activity figures can therefore change as records arrive.
Questions about assistant-level reporting
Is assistant-level cost reporting available in every account?
Availability currently depends on the account’s analytics rollout. The assistant filter appears in Cost when the account supports it. Talk with our team to confirm access for your deployment.
What does the assistant filter include?
It focuses on call and AI message charges attributable to the selected assistants. Wallet funding, phone number rental, knowledge base charges, and observations remain account-wide and are excluded from the filtered view.
Is the activity view a live call monitor?
Activity reporting summarizes recorded activity through the latest analytics synchronization. Use it to review daily patterns, rather than to monitor an individual call as it happens. Recently completed work may take time to appear.
Does the report show revenue generated by each assistant?
The cost filter shows attributable usage charges. Revenue attribution requires matching the workflow to outcomes in your business systems. It is a separate measurement task, and the report does not claim an automatic revenue or ROI calculation.
