Per-minute rate: 50% lower.
Calculation: minutes × per-minute rate + monthly platform fee. Excludes taxes, phone numbers, messaging, add-ons, setup and migration costs. Actual terms and quarterly commitments are confirmed in your proposal.
Compare the same calling setup
Bring a recent invoice and the configuration behind it. Match the voice, model, calling route and included features so both rates describe the same work.
The calculator starts with an illustrative $0.20 current rate and $0.10 proposed rate. Both are editable. It compares minutes multiplied by each rate, plus the monthly platform fee you enter for each option.
Assistable's deployment proposals use quarterly commitments. The calculator excludes taxes, phone numbers, messaging, add-ons, setup and migration costs. Include the applicable amounts from your proposal when comparing the full bill.
Use this cost checklist
Choose a representative billing period. Separate credits, temporary discounts and one-time charges. If you use several configurations at different rates, compare each group before adding them together.
| Cost or input | What to check |
|---|---|
| Per-minute rate | The amount you pay and the components it covers |
| Minutes | Actual billed minutes and billing increments |
| Calling setup | Voice, model, telephony and enabled features |
| Platform fee | The recurring plan or commitment outside usage |
| Carrier and numbers | Connection charges, number rental and forwarding |
| Other charges | Messaging, add-ons, setup, migration and support where applicable |
| Terms | Commitment length, minimums, discounts and credits |
What half the rate looks like
At 10,000 minutes, a $0.20 rate produces $2,000 in usage charges. A $0.10 rate produces $1,000 at the same volume. The difference on that usage portion is $1,000.
This example illustrates the arithmetic, not a universal SimpleTalk price or customer quote. The table below covers the minute charge only.
| Illustrative item | Current | At half the rate |
|---|---|---|
| Comparable minutes per month | 10,000 | 10,000 |
| Rate used in this example | $0.20/min | $0.10/min |
| Comparable usage cost | $2,000/month | $1,000/month |
| Difference on this usage portion | $1,000/month |
Check the full bill and the work behind it
Add the applicable platform and other charges to the usage amount. Keep one-time migration costs separate from recurring costs so you can see both the move and the ongoing budget.
If call length or volume changes, update the minute estimate. A rate comparison using the old volume may no longer describe the new bill.
Also ask who maintains integrations, reviews calls and handles problems. Work your own team must provide belongs in the decision, even when it does not appear on the provider invoice.
Get the comparison in writing
Your proposal should name the workflows being moved, the configuration being compared, the offered rate, the platform commitment and any additional charges.
After the first billing period, compare actual minutes and costs with the estimate. Use the same checklist to understand any difference.
Common questions
Will my total bill be cut in half?
The offer concerns the comparable per-minute rate. Your total depends on billed minutes, the platform commitment and applicable additional charges.
What should I enter in the calculator?
Enter your actual current rate, proposed rate, expected minutes and monthly platform fees. The starting rates illustrate a 50% difference; you can edit both independently.
Which SimpleTalk rate should I compare?
Use the rate and included components on your own contract or invoice. Public self-serve and promotional prices can describe a different plan.
Is there a separate Assistable platform commitment?
Yes. Assistable uses scoped deployment proposals with quarterly commitments and separately charged usage. Your proposal gives the applicable amounts and terms.
