## How can real estate agents use voice and conversational AI?

Real estate teams can configure AI agents to answer inquiries, collect property interests and timing, arrange consultations and route conversations to a person. Assistable provides voice and chat agents, knowledge, connected tools and human transfers for those workflows. Your CRM, calendar and authorized listing data define the integration scope. The agent supports service and follow-up; it does not decide housing eligibility or replace a licensed professional's judgment.

## Handle the inquiry before your agent is free.

A buyer calling about a specific listing needs a different next step from a homeowner requesting a listing consultation. Define the information required for each request, then route it to the responsible agent. Qualification here means understanding the requested service and preparing the conversation.

| Inquiry | Configured response | Human next step |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Question about a property | Retrieve approved facts for the identified listing; disclose missing information | Resolve questions that need current verification or professional advice |
| Buyer consultation | Collect requested property type, location, timing and preferred contact method | Review the request and discuss the buyer's needs |
| Seller consultation | Capture the property reference, goal and requested appointment | Discuss valuation, representation and strategy |
| Showing request | Record the property and preferred time; use only authorized scheduling actions | Confirm access and any approval required for the showing |

## Keep property answers tied to the source.

Use an approved knowledge source for stable information such as your services and office process. For changing listing status, price or availability, scope a connection to the authorized system and check the returned record. An uploaded brochure should not become a promise that a property is still available.

Assistable Request nodes can call an external API and branch on its response or error. A listing connection needs the correct permissions, property identifier and update behavior. If the source is unavailable or does not answer the question, the agent should say what remains unconfirmed and route it to your team.

RESO defines standards for real estate data exchange; it does not supply MLS data or credentials. Access comes from the MLS or other data provider under its terms. An Assistable deployment does not include universal MLS access or a native connection to every brokerage system.

## Example: a listing inquiry becomes an agent appointment.

Illustrative workflow for a team using HighLevel. A consultation booking and permission to enter a property are different actions; the latter stays with your authorized showing process.

1. **Identify the inquiry** Confirm the listing or property reference and what the prospect wants to discuss. Ask only for the information needed to help with that request.

2. **Answer or flag the gap** Read approved facts. A missing or stale availability result routes to an agent instead of a confident guess.

3. **Arrange the consultation** Check the connected agent calendar and book an allowed consultation slot. Confirm only after the calendar accepts it. A requested property showing remains pending until its separate requirements are met.

4. **Make the handoff useful** Map the request, property reference and summary into the intended contact record. Configure a call transfer when a person should join immediately, with a route for no answer.

## Use consistent service rules for every prospect.

Build routing around the person's requested service, property interest, volunteered timing and preferred contact method. Do not use protected characteristics, inferred identity or demographic proxies to limit access to information or appointments. Keep housing eligibility, financing and negotiation decisions with the appropriate human process.

Have the brokerage approve the questions, information sources and escalation rules before launch. Test requests that require professional advice, discriminatory instructions and attempts to invent property facts. HUD's fair-housing materials are a starting point for that review; the workflow still needs approval for your jurisdiction and practice.

## Keep your CRM and calendar responsibilities clear.

Assistable documents HighLevel calling workflows, calendar tools and post-call CRM mapping. Other CRMs, showing systems and property feeds require a supported connector or a scoped custom connection. Agree who owns authorization, field mapping, duplicate prevention and maintenance.

For follow-up, define eligible contacts, the approved reason to call or message and when the sequence stops. Make sure a human taking over is not competing with another active agent or queued automation. Your total cost includes the applicable plan, usage, phone service and any integration or operating work.

## Measure appointments your team can use.

Pilot one lead source or inquiry type. Keep the source, time window and agent coverage comparable to your baseline. Review inaccurate answers and unsuccessful requests alongside bookings; an appointment count alone does not establish revenue impact.

| Measure | Definition |
| --- | --- |
| Usable inquiry rate | Agent-accepted inquiries with required details divided by reviewed inquiries |
| Consultation booking rate | Confirmed correct consultations divided by eligible consultation requests |
| Show rate | Attended consultations divided by consultations due in the measurement window |
| Property-answer accuracy | Answers matching the authorized current source divided by sampled property answers |

## Common questions

### Does Assistable connect to my MLS?

Do not assume universal MLS connectivity. Bring the authorized data provider, access terms and required operations. A custom API connection may be scoped where access is permitted. RESO compatibility describes a data standard, not automatic permission to use a listing feed.

### Can it book property showings?

It can collect a showing request and use configured scheduling tools. Confirming a showing requires the actual showing system, access rules and any listing-side approval. A CRM calendar event alone does not establish permission to enter the property.

### What should we test when choosing a real estate AI agent?

Test a known listing, unavailable property, incomplete inquiry, calendar conflict and request for a person. Verify the source facts, resulting CRM record and appointment status. The best fit is the workflow your team can operate consistently, with clear limits and cost.
